The short version
- Connecting YouTube, Instagram or TikTok uses their official login. We only post what you approve, to the destinations you pick.
- AI tools send your prompts and attached media to third-party AI providers to produce the output. We do not let them train on your content where they offer that option.
- Realistic AI depictions of real people need their consent and a label.

1. Connecting social accounts
In Studio or the Forky app you can connect a YouTube channel, Instagram account or TikTok account using that platform’s official sign-in (OAuth). You choose which account to connect, and the platform shows you the permissions we request before you agree. Depending on the platform and the level of API access it has granted us, those permissions may include:
- reading your account name, handle, profile picture and channel ID;
- uploading videos and posts with captions you provide, as drafts or published, where the platform allows;
- reading basic performance metrics (views, likes, comments) for the posts we published;
- reading and replying to comments on those posts, only if you turn that feature on.
We store an access token for each connected account so we can act on your behalf. Each platform’s own terms and privacy policy apply to what happens on that platform. API capabilities differ between platforms and can change; some features may be unavailable or delayed.
2. What gets posted, and when
- You approve each video, caption, destination and schedule before anything is posted. Nothing is published automatically.
- If you enable scheduled posting, we post the items you approved at the times you chose, and you can cancel any scheduled post before it goes out.
- Automatic comment replies are off by default. If you turn them on, you write or approve the reply templates, and we post them only on your own posts, within each platform’s rules.
- We never post to accounts you have not connected, and never post content you have not approved.
3. Disconnecting
Disconnect any account in Settings → Connected accounts. We delete the access token immediately and stop posting. You can also revoke Forky’s access from the platform’s own settings (Google Account → Third-party access; Instagram → Apps and websites; TikTok → Security → Manage app permissions). Posts already published stay on the platform until you remove them there. Deleting your Forky account disconnects all accounts.
4. AI creation tools
Forky and TokiToki Studio include tools that draft scripts, suggest branches, generate images, voice and video, and edit media from your prompts. To do this, your prompts and any text, images, audio or video you attach are sent to third-party AI providers that run the models. What you should know:
- Who processes it. The current provider list is shown in the Studio help centre and may change as we add or replace models. Providers may be located outside India.
- Training. We do not use your prompts, drafts or private content to train AI models. We select provider settings that exclude your content from training wherever a provider offers that option. Providers may retain prompts for a short period (typically up to 30 days) to detect abuse.
- Outputs. AI outputs can be wrong, biased, or resemble existing works. You are responsible for reviewing what you publish, and for having the rights to any reference material you upload.
- Prohibited prompts. You may not use the tools to produce anything the Community Guidelines prohibit, including sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, or deceptive impersonation. Prompts are filtered and serious misuse results in account closure.
- Ownership. As between you and us, you own the outputs you create, subject to the rights of third parties and the law in your country, which may not recognise copyright in purely AI-generated material.
5. Synthetic media and likeness
- If your story contains realistic AI-generated or materially manipulated depictions of real people, real events or realistic synthetic voices, you must mark it as AI-generated when publishing. Forky shows an “AI-generated” label on such stories.
- You may only replicate a real person’s face, body or voice with their written consent, and never for sexual, deceptive or defamatory content. For minors, the consent must come from a parent or guardian, and such depictions are never allowed in mature content.
- When you publish to a connected platform, you must also comply with that platform’s AI-labelling rules. We pass the AI-generated flag through to platforms whose APIs support it.
6. Analytics from other platforms
Metrics we show for connected platforms come from their APIs and may be delayed, sampled or incomplete. We keep platform metrics attributed to their source and separate from Forky’s own first-party metrics (story starts, completions, choices and unlocks). We do not merge platform data into profiles about you, and we do not use data from connected platforms to train models or for any purpose that platform’s API terms do not allow.
